Wearing Weather Data as a Bracelet

Mitchell Whitelaw has created a unique piece of wearable. The 3D bracelet visualizes one year of the weather data in Canberra.

The piece is created using Processing and Blender and is produced of a acrylic-based polymer by Shapeways. The outer edge is determined by the daily minimum and maximum temperatures. The holes indicate rainfall. Mitchell provides further insight about the developement process on his blog. The concept of the form is best described by the following illustration:
