So Many A Second is a visualization that gives a rough feeling for abstract numbers by creating a vertical flow of the events happening at a certain pace. The visualization doesn't focus on accuracy and isn't readable in the sense of giving a detailed view on statistical data but it provides a way too feel the amount rather than reading it.

They come up with the most excellent interactive visualizations every now and then and seem to refine their skillset in the meantime to exceed any benchmark. Synoptic is a interactive visualization of meteorological data. Users can select a data attribute to explore (e.g. temperature, luminosity, humidity, air pressure, precipitation). The timespan can be chosen freely or using predefined shortcuts. The 3D chart is zoomable and can be rotated on the x, y and z axis.
